Acceptance of Terms

By visiting Exam PDF or using any of our tools, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Description of the Service

Exam PDF offers a collection of free, browser-based utility tools aimed at students, teachers, and coaching institutes, including (without limitation) PDF compression, PDF splitting, PDF merging, image-to-PDF conversion, a question paper PDF crop tool, a previous year paper organizer, and an image blurring tool. Most of these tools run entirely within your web browser using local processing, and do not require you to create an account.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature at any time, with or without notice, and we are not obligated to maintain or support any particular tool indefinitely.

Eligibility and Use by Minors

The Service is designed to be broadly accessible, including to students who may be under the age of 18. If you are a minor, we recommend using the Service with the awareness and, where appropriate, the guidance of a parent, guardian, or teacher. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms, or that you are using it under appropriate supervision.

License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, educational, or institutional purposes. This license does not permit you to resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the Service itself, or to copy, modify, or create derivative works of our underlying website, software, or content, except as expressly permitted.

Your Files and Content

Many of our tools process files (such as PDFs and images) that you choose to use with the Service. For tools that process files locally in your browser, we never receive, view, or store a copy of those files - you retain full control and ownership over them at all times.

You are solely responsible for the files and content you process using our tools, and you confirm that:

• You own the content, or you have the necessary rights or permissions to use, copy, crop, blur, merge, split, or otherwise process it with our tools;
• Your use of the content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other right of any third party;
• Your content does not violate any applicable law, including laws relating to academic integrity, data protection, or obscenity.

We are not responsible for any content you choose to process using the Service, and we disclaim all liability arising from your use of files or material that you did not have the right to use.

Acceptable Use

When using Exam PDF, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the operation of the Service, including through automated scraping, bots, or denial-of-service-style activity;
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service except as permitted by law;
• Upload, process, or distribute any file containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
• Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party, including by distributing answer keys, copyrighted question papers, or personal data of others without authorization;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in any communication with us.

Intellectual Property

The Exam PDF name, logo, website design, layout, original text content, and underlying code (excluding any files you process using our tools) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you, except for the limited license described above.

Any output file you generate using our tools - such as a compressed PDF, a cropped question paper, or a blurred image - belongs to you, since it is derived from content you supplied and processed entirely on your own device.

No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any tool will produce results that are fit for every specific purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service - even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because most of our tools process files locally on your own device, we have no visibility into or control over your files, and accordingly cannot be held responsible for any loss, corruption, or mishandling of files that occurs on your own device or browser.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party, including in connection with content or files you process using our tools.

Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, or may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or advertiser. Your interactions with any third party encountered through the Service are solely between you and that third party.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Service, in whole or in part, for any user or category of users, at any time, particularly in cases of suspected misuse or violation of these Terms. Since the Service does not generally require an account, "termination" in most cases simply means restricting access to the website itself.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory law in your jurisdiction.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
